Homemade face toner

Since I started to support the cause of PETAhttp://www.peta.org/ against testing cosmetics on animals, I decided to use natural clean and if possible homemade cosmetics. As my face cleaner finished, I get some tips and make my one precipice for it, which I am going to share with you now ;)

I had some fresh mint at home an a lemon. I boiled a cup of water and i put the mint leaves in it. It stayed about 10 minutes like that, after it I filtered it and added some squeezed lemon (a slice is enough). The mixture I put in the bottle of my old face cleaner. After it I put the bottle in the fridge. Before going to bed I tried it on my face, it was so fresh, nice cooled and with very pleasant mint smell. For the summer its just like a great cocktail for your face, believe me :)

If you want to fill your homemade face toner with positive energy, you can stick a heart shaped paper or write a positive word on the bottle. As Dr. Masuro Emoto http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masaru_Emoto says, the water has memory and keeps the emotions we give to it :)

Cats of Istanbul

Summer is a hot time, especially in the heart of the city, especially if you are a cat in the heart of the big city and... if you are a fluffy and obese cat :)
While I was spending some time out I couldn't miss to take some photos of street cats in Istanbul.
Even they all were having their special "aura", they all got something in common...they were acting like the street and the city belongs to them.

To the books with love

It's summer time and that's the time to make trips, find a new hobby or give yourself to a nice book.
While reading one of the tree books which I started last month, I decide to make my reading more "art" and my books more special. So I came to idea to make a bookmark for my book.
I took a piece of hard cartoon, some art paper, glue and i crafted an amulet blue eye, made from polymer clay. Also I added some stones: onyx, pearls to add more antique vision.

It took about 1 hour to make it and it worth it :) It was looking antique, special, unique and... it was handmade. Handmade things are caring the energy of their creator and making things look more special and intimate.

This is how my bookmark looked like after I finished it:

As i said, handmade things are something special, made by energy from the heart. It's more special to make someone a handmade gift. Well I decide to do same and I gave my bookmark to a friend.
She loves books too, and handmade things. I believe I made her happy with my small unique gift :)

Finally having a blog!

Finally having a blog!

Yupiiii guess i have to celebrate "the opening" somehow ...
but this can wait a while. I can grab a cup of cappuccino now and try to create some new things.
Meanwhile i will pick a lucky note near my cappuccino (it's a small cup of hand made lucky notes, which i made). Me and my boy have a tradition - to pick up a lucky notes every time we make coffee :)  It's cute small gift during the day or for a nice start in the morning. I really find it inspiring :)

Here is and my lucky note for today..
Well...It's a kind of positive, which i feel that i need recently.
